Examine your conversations. Does she include you in her plans when she talks about the future?

Consider whether you're both traveling along the same pathway in life. Are you heading in the same direction? Do you share common interests and values?

Think about the compatibility of your goals. Do you both want the same things out of life, such as a family, kids, stability, money, careers? Are you interested in her work and hobbies? Does she seem interested in your job and pastimes, even she doesn't share your passion for them?

Evaluate how she treats you in private and in public. Does she brag about you to others? Does she seem proud to be with you, or does she avoid being seen with you in public places? Does she stick around when you're having a bad day, or does she disappear when you need her the most?

Evaluate how she treats your friends and family. Is she willing to be nice to your friends and family, even if she doesn't like them?

Assess her honesty and trustworthiness. Does she do what she says she's going to do? Do you feel you can trust her and depend on her?

Think about all the reasons why you really like her. Remember that lust fades, but genuine compatibility endures.
